Well well well, it’s been a couple of months since I last updated my twins blog. Indeed, it’s the time of the year when I get extremely busy with my wedding and couple jobs. I do love summer weddings simply because of the colours and sunshines. It just makes me smile all day long.
My twins also enjoy a little bit of the outdoor though my busy schedule means that they don’t get to go out as much as the beginning of the year. Still we went to a couple of places including their yearly strawberries picking.
We went to the same farm every year simply because it’s tidy and the produce is usually very high quality. I still remembered that Ashton and Annabelle were only one and a half years old. They could bearly speak and just about walk. This year, they are so different. No only they could speak… words, they run!!
However, as the usual Annabelle self, she didn’t move too much and so afraid of the heat, just like her daddy, sat on the trolley most of the time. She didn’t mine picking the strawberries though. Ashton on the other hand, wanted to walk and venture around the field and didn’t want to pick at all!!! What an opposite character! So it was a little dificult to ‘contain’ both of them while Sue and I were picking.
Since this was a yearly event, I got comparison photos to see how much they’ve grown since a year ago. It’s pretty amazing indeed.
We also went to Longleat Safari park to celebrate Father’s day too. Despite the near two hours drive, we had an amazing time together. Both enjoyed a bit of snacks and had a good walk around the playground and zoo. Then of course we took a bus and ran around the safari park where we saw all kinds of animals too. Annabelle absolutely loved it and got very excited about different animals that she recognised. Ashton was quite excited at first but not long after, as usual, he ran out of patience and wanted to get off the bus but of course it wasn’t allow. So we had to stuff him with snacks to keep him entertained until the ride was finished. hahah… typical boy.
Well, before the month’s end, we also went to our local yearly street fair where all the local businesses came out to party. We also took the twins out last year and again, the difference was huge. Ashton and Annabelle were able to walk by themselves and sat on rides too. Last year, they weren’t too good at walking and we had to hold them. Time does fly and what’s it like next year? Well, stay tune to find out!!
Back to my monthly report on their growth and development. Annabelle has always been a little ahead of Ashton in terms of speech and expressions. I haven’t noticed much difference this month. Annabelle can now express herself with sentenances in Cantonese. Ashton is only starting to use three to four words at a time to tell us what he wants. In terms of speech, Annabelle is at least a month ahead of Ashton. However, after a little more closer observation, it seems that both Annabelle and Ashton have similar level of understanding, it’s only Ashton’s expression is a little behind or rather, as I notice, lazy to reply.
Neither is willing to share still. Both will still fight for the samething, even though there are two identical items.
At two and a half years old, both are well into the ‘trouble two’ category. Ashton in particular, is very naughter at times. He screams for just about everything. He gives you evil cries whenever he dislikes something or drops something. It’s the last thing you want after a long day of work. Annabelle is a little better, though she, too, can throw tendrum at us whenever she wants.
Trouble-Two is definitely something that Sue and I both eagerly want it to pass, sooner than later.
Oh, before I sign off, my sister-in-law just gave birth to yet another set of twin boys!!!! Now our family have grown much bigger all of a sudden. Annabelle and Ashton has two brand new baby cousins to play with!
Next month, family holiday to Ibiza, forest fire and chicken pox!!!!!! Arggggggh.
More snaps here for your pleasure 🙂
